UF's Jenkins cited again for Marijuana
GAINESVILLE — Florida senior Janoris Jenkins, an All-SEC first-teamer, was cited for possession of marijuana for the second time in three months Saturday.
Gainesville Police Department spokesman Cpl. Tscharna Senn said Jenkins was given a notice to appear in court for possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana after police allegedly found a cigar with cannabis in a vehicle Jenkins was riding in.
Jenkins was arrested in January on the same charge after police said he was caught with a bag of cannabis at a downtown Gainesville club. At the time, new coach Will Muschamp said the matter would be handled internally. Jenkins did not participate in spring drills because he was recovering from surgery.
This is his third arrest in 23 months. In May 2009, he was arrested in connection with resisting arrest without violence when he was among many involved in a fight outside a Gainesville night club. His attorney at the time said Jenkins believed someone was trying to steal jewelry from him and he was defending himself. Jenkins received deferred prosecution and was required to pay court costs and/or complete community service.
tennis: The 17th-ranked Florida men's team upset top-seeded and No. 2-ranked Tennessee 4-2 in the SEC tournament semifinals in Gainesville. UF will meet 11th-ranked Kentucky today for the title. … The top-seeded Florida women beat Vanderbilt 4-0 to advance to today's SEC tournament final against host Tennessee.
Fiesta future: The Fiesta Bowl's future as a part of the BCS could be decided before the end of May, officials for the troubled game said after meeting with BCS officials in Illinois. The Fiesta Bowl fired its president, John Junker, last month after a report alleged misuse of funds. The BCS responded by creating a task force to review whether it wanted to continue to do business with the game.

Nadal wins 500th, meets Ferrer again
Rafael Nadal, 24, became the second-youngest player after Bjorn Borg (23 years, 7 months) to post 500 wins in the Open era and will meet fellow Spaniard David Ferrer in a final for the second time in a week.
Both cruised through their Barcelona Open semifinals, Nadal beating Ivan Dodig 6-3, 6-2, and Ferrer topping Nicolas Almagro 6-3, 6-4. Nadal leads their career series 12-4, winning in Monte Carlo last week.
"I like to look at stats that favor me," Nadal said. "But every game is different and David is having a great beginning to the year."
Porsche Grand Prix: Top-ranked Caroline Wozniacki beat Agnieszka Radwanska 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the final in Stuttgart, Germany. She will try to win her fourth title of the year today against Julia Goerges, who upset part-time Tampa resident Sam Stosur 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.

Horses: Derby Kitten beat Prime Cut by 1½ lengths to win the $200,000 Lexington Stakes in Kentucky. "The Preakness could be on our agenda," owner Ken Ramsey said. … Adios Charlie won the closing day feature at Aqueduct, beating Astrology in the $150,000 Jerome Stakes for 3-year-olds. New York racing shifts to Belmont on Friday.
Soccer: Lionel Messi became the first player in Spain to score 50 goals in a club season, helping host Barcelona beat Osasuna 2-0. Messi has 177 goals for Barcelona in all competitions.
