• 2008 (Bucs): Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas
Plagued by character problems but among NFL's best corners
• 2007 (Giants): Aaron Ross, CB, Texas
Lost starting job after second season
• 2006 (Chiefs): Tamba Hali, DE, Penn State
Feared pass rusher had 14 1/2 sacks in 2010

Six-year starter has been fairly solid defender

Retired after four strong seasons because of leukemia
