94,163 Amount, in dollars, that Wayne Gretzky's rookie card earned at an online sports memorabilia auction Sunday. SPC Auctions claims it's the most money ever paid for a hockey card. There are plenty of Gretzky rookie cards in existence, but the card sold Sunday is believed to be one of the rare ones with no flaws. Professional Sports Authenticator rated the card a perfect 10 — mint condition.

It was 44 years ago today, May 2, 1967, that the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 at old Maple Leafs Gardens to win the Stanley Cup in six games. What makes that so noteworthy? It was the last time the Maple Leafs won the Cup. In fact, that was the last time the Leafs even appeared in the Stanley Cup finals.
