Nationals 2, Padres 1
WASHINGTON — Michael Morse homered on the first pitch of the bottom of the ninth from Mike Adams to end the Nationals' five-game skid. Drew Storen, who blew his first save of the season when former Ray Jason Bartlett homered to lead off the ninth, was the winner. He pitched 1⅓ innings. John Lannan pitched well for the Nationals, going a season-high 7⅔ innings, allowing two singles. Lannan's chance for his first win in seven starts was dashed by Bartlett's homer.
