Royals 10, Twins 3
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Mike Aviles homered and drove in four runs for the Royals, who swept a three-game series against the Twins for the first time since Aug. 4-6, 1998. At a majors-worst 9-18, Minnesota is nine games below .500 for the first time since finishing 2000 69-93. The Twins are 10 back of the Indians, the furthest they've been out of first since finishing 17 out in 2007.
