SEFFNER — Tesha Hanson led Seffner Christian with 26 points and six rebounds Thursday as the Crusaders defeated Winter Haven All Saints' 68-23 in a Class A region quarterfinal.

Despite a commanding win, Crusaders coach Greg Fawbush said his team is unsatisfied with the way they played.

"It's something to be said when you come into a locker room after winning by 40-something and the mutual feeling is that we did not play well," said Fawbush.

But with a young team, Fawbush wants to make sure all loose ends are tied the farther his team advances in postseason play.

"We got by because we were the better team, but we have to get back to basics and come out with more intensity next game," he said.

Though disappointed, the Crusaders were dominant.

"They do a great job of putting pressure on the ball," All Saints' coach Paul Freeman said. "We played them earlier this season here, and we knew what to expect."

The Saints (15-7) found themselves behind 28-10 early in the second quarter and the Crusaders (22-6) continued to build a lead, eventually making it a 42-12 lead at halftime.

Crusaders freshman Sabrina Whiting added 21 points, five rebounds and a blocked shot. Senior Liz Emmanuel added nine for the Saints.
